Título:  PRODUCT ENGINEER - AUTOMOTIVE

From the automotive industry in Capgemini, we are looking a profile like yours: with experience as a product engineer with knowledge in CAD Design. The main role is ensure the technical viability of the product during the offer and development stages. The product is rearview mirrors, where we work in collaboration with one of our main clients in Viladecavalls.

Main Tasks: 

Ensure, together with the Product Engineering Master, the technical feasibility of the product during the offer and development stages in accordance with Ficosa methodology.
Apply the standardized solutions and Lessons Learnt in all the development processes of the product for all the business unit clients.
Carry out the design reviews under the supervision of the Master in Design.
Ensure the development and prototypes delivery according to customer/FDS milestones.
Participate in the product and process FMEA’s.
Analyze the results of the product technical test reports and find the necessary technical countermeasures solutions together with the Quality Design Engineer.
Work with manufacturing teams in the products industrialization.
Manage effectively the product modifications during the development.
Support the competitiveness of the business unit improving costs, quality and product performance, adopting new technical solutions coming from competitors’ analysis and benchmark. 
Cooperate with Purchasing dept. and suppliers to ensure the optimization of the components in terms of cost, quality and manufacturability.
Ensure the CAD (3D & 2D) design development.  
Propose Technical Lessons Learned (industrialization phase).
Deal with the client engineering for an effective products development.
Carry out the parametrization and drawing of the product components (3D/2D)
Carry out the preliminary studies and the numerical definitions of the different product components with CATIA.
Design the components and the assembly of the product (both for production and prototype phases, 3D/2D) using the appropriate CATIA.

Desired Requirements: 

Fluent English (spoken and written)
Minimum of 2-3 years in a similar position
Previous experience in plastic products
