Pre Sales Project Manager Barrow/Manchester

An overview of the role

Accountable for presales project delivery, supported by the Presales Team and reporting to the Pre-Sales Manager.
You will need to ensure that the proposal work submitted by all presales project team members, including subcontract staff, meets the required Quality standards of a project and will meet client expectations.

The Pre Sales Project Manager has accountability for delivering against contracts, delighting clients through meeting and exceeding their expectations, achieving Sales Targets, identifying and delivering opportunities for incremental business, and ensuring that the Project Management delivery methodologies and financial controls are followed, tracked on the engagement from pre sales to the delivery organisation for execution.

You will develop and own client relationships at senior management level.

You will manage the pre sales teams, manage the pipeline, plan activities and monitor progress ensuring all project/programme deliverables are provided using best practises, with overall responsibility for achieving engagement targets.

Motivated, collaborative, and determined you’ll manage the pre sales lifecycle with effective communication and Governance controls. 

You will be expected to be the author and owner of the Pipeline Plan and be responsible for compliance to its contents. You will also be accountable for clear and concise status and reporting both internal and external. This will include the management of the monthly financial reporting process, forecasting future revenue from pipeline & resource to support the execution.

• Ability to achieve MOD SC Security Clearance
• Exemplar project management delivery and engagement skills with strong previous experience evident from inception through the delivery lifecycle, to agreed cost, timescales and quality.
• Deliver in accordance to the contract, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Management of the contract including Client Obligations and Scope.
• Planning, delegating, monitoring and controlling of the Pipeline activities.
• Responsible for ensuring that the Pipeline plan is resourced, ensuring that all resourcing demands are managed via the agreed request process.
• Responsible for engaging with client to understand implementation requirements.
• Responsible for creating a library of standard proposal responses that can be used as basis when completing sales responses.
• Responsible for completion of all Implementation related questions for a proposal
• Responsible for ensuring that the project plan can be delivered when considering all external factors, and taking any remedial actions, and escalating as necessary.
• Responsible for ensuring that initial set risks, issues, and actions are defined, and contain the appropriate level of detail, including ownership, priority and date.
• Responsible for making the Delivery Resourcing team aware of any future resourcing requirements.
• Responsible for the handover of the Presales Project plan and estimates to Delivery
• Clear and concise status and project reporting, both internal and external.
• Manage the financial reporting process.
• Management and motivation of the project team, including setting of objectives for direct reports and timely completion of their assignment reviews.
• Review and confirm Project Deliverables are suitable for delivery to the Client.
• Communications to stakeholders and teams about all relevant aspects of the project, in line with the contract, project baseline, project status and client feedback
• Experience of requirements design build and implementation.
• Understanding of the sales process and experience of managing the bid process.
• Confidence and gravitas in front of clients, project teams and 3rd parties.
•Experience of large scale, complex IT delivery projects and programmes including Cloud technologies and Hyperscale migrations.
