Role – Presales Solution Architect- ServiceNow

Joining Location: Mumbai

 The Solution Architect will be actively involved in the ServiceNow Pre-sales organization activities and in the consulting engagements spanning wider SI/SM/ITSM space. They must support the sales process and construct an effective solution for delivery using proven Capgemini best practices and service offerings. Solution Architect will be responsible to oversee the end-to-end life cycle phases from opportunity initiation till it is handed over to the delivery teams and spans through multiple phases in the various stages of the RFX pursuits viz. Due diligence, Estimations, Solutioning Phase, Solution Defense, Project Implementation, Handover to Run Support teams. He/she will be responsible for architecting the overall construct of the account and mapping client business requirements from the project team to systems/technical requirements to Capgemini’s ServiceNow offerings.


The Solution Architect works as a team member along with the Project Manager, Technical Architect and supporting team members or sometimes as an individual contributor to deliver the complete solution for the customer. They must work with the delivery teams to get their solutions vetted from a delivery capability per se, sales organizations in order to protect the profits and margins of the pursuits working for, and at the same time stay relevant to the client demands. Need to have an hands-on implementation experience in implementing ServiceNow at various client locations, that can be leveraged during the solutioning phases. Must have keen insight into the developments in the industry.



  • Understand business context and complex client technical challenges, define pragmatic solutions using our ServiceNow offerings and communicate key messages to clients
  • Participate in process flow analysis and process redesign along with the Project Manager
  • Lead the development of innovative market solution offerings based on the ServiceNow platform
  • Design, implement, integrate and support ServiceNow platform solutions
  • Create collaterals that specify strategy, assessment, or design in a way that delivers obvious value to the client and is understandable by any stakeholder
  • Share best practices and be consultative throughout the technical design of the project
  • Create a detailed functional design document to match client requirements
  • Synergize with the technical architects forum to produce a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements
  • Participate in internal projects as required
  • Maintain current ServiceNow knowledge through self-study and utilization of available training
  • Must be having hands-on experience with ServiceNow scripting and security best practices
  • Produce detailed functional and technical design documents matching client requirements
  • Target contributing towards the practice development by identifying the market demand and enabling the teams to get trained and certified based on the market demands.
  • Nurture younger team members with respect to inculcating the best practices and ServiceNow development skills in areas like scripting, discovery, integrations, etc.
  • Develop end to end solutions involving various systems integration requirements
  • Participate in internal projects as required
  • Maintain current ServiceNow knowledge through self-study and utilization of available training
  • Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in ITSM technologies and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base. Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to design and implement a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast moving environment.
  • Must be certified in ServiceNow Admin and ServiceNow Implementation Specialists. Must have hands on experience in ServiceNow development.
  • Must be ITIL certified
  • Experience with integration with multiple LDAP, SSO, SCCM, SCOM, SMS Integration and other Infrastructure tools.
  • Hands-on knowledge in ServiceNow Discovery, Service Watch, Orchestration, Performance Analytics
  • Must have good communication skills to convey technical problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    Additional preferred qualifications are:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent preferred
  • Advanced experience with ServiceNow or ITSM tool configuration and custom application development
  • Experience with other ITSM software (BMC, Landesk, Cherwell, Heat, Axios, HP,etc.)
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to understand business requirements and convert them into solution designs
  • Knowledge of web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture as well as experience managing expectations and priorities.
  • Must demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to delivering a solution that optimizes architecture activities across company needs, business constraints and technological realities
  • Should have participated in, and be familiar with project methodologies
  • Overall IT Experience of more than 13 Years
  • 6-8 years of ITSM systems integration and/or implementation experience
  • Proven Solutions consulting experience
