AUTOMATION TESTER

What you’ll do?

• Design, develop, and maintain test cases for RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing on backend services.
• Use API testing tools to verify the functionality, performance, reliability, and security of APIs.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand service requirements and identify edge cases.
• Write automation scripts to ensure continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes are efficient and reliable.
• Document defects, log bugs, and work with the development team to resolve issues.
• Implement best practices for API testing, including test data management, response validation, and error handling.
• Develop test plans and scenarios for complex and high-risk features.
• Participate in code reviews, grooming sessions, and release planning to ensure testing coverage aligns with development objectives.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience with one of the following: Karate Test Automation or RestAssured
• Experience with any Frontend automation tool (Selenium,etc)
• API testing for backend services
• Java for automated test scripts
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, HTTP/HTTPS protocols, and JSON/XML data formats
• Postman, SoapUI, and Newman
• Swagger or OpenAPI
• Test automation integration into CI/CD
