What you’ll do?

  • Serve as SQL/Oracle Database Administrator in a complex business environment. 
  • Proven experience as an SQL/Oracle Database Administrator with expertise in Oracle and SQL database technologies. 
  • installations, upgrades, patches, backup, recovery, space management, performance 
  • Deploy changes in database, proactively monitoring of performance and capacity planning of RDBMS 
  • Provide management with recommendations for upgrades and maintenance to ensure the Database Server is running optimally 
  • Perform backup and recovery process, including disaster recovery performance, tuning of database and application 
  • Responsible for planning, designing, coordinating and administration of SQL Database
  • Server, including database definition, structure, documentation, standard, and recommending/executing a backup and recovery strategy 
  • Strong knowledge of database architecture, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • Design and implement SQL Server databases based on application and business requirements. 

What you’ll bring:

  • Collaborate with application developers to optimize database schema for performance and scalability. 
  • Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards. 
  • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues related to SQL/Oracle Server instances. 
  • Implement and manage database security measures, including user authentication and authorization. 
  • Regularly review and update security policies to protect sensitive data. 
  • Investigate and resolve database-related issues, such as data corruption, connectivity problems, and performance degradation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address complex problems. 
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks by optimizing queries, indexing, and server configurations. 
  • Familiarity with security best practices and Oracle database compliance standards. 
  • Develop and implement automation scripts for routine Oracle database tasks. 
  • Use PL/SQL or other scripting languages to streamline administrative processes. Apply Oracle patches and updates to keep database systems current and secure.
  • Coordinate with vendors and IT teams to schedule maintenance windows for patching.
