Data Engineer (ETL) - Remote

YOUR ROLE

• Designing and developing HIVE code.
• Designing and developing automated solutions.
• Performance monitoring and tuning of existing automated jobs.
• Troubleshooting failures.
• Ad hoc analyses.
• Query data to answer business questions and to support investigations.
• Engage with subject matter experts to develop metrics and key performance indicators.

YOUR PROFILE

• 4-5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar roles.
• Take detailed notes and capture correct information.
• Strong ETL development background
• BASH experience.
• Understanding of YARN and HDFS.
• Experience with SQL for analysis and data investigation.
• AWS cloud experience a plus, but not required (Cloudwatch, Lambda, EMR, Athena).
• Excellent analytical skills, curious about data.
• Ability to think creatively to identify solutions.
• Good communication in English and collaboration skills.
