Looker Support Engineer - Lisbon 

Capgemini Portugal is currently looking for a Looker Support Engineer to join one of the world’s most prestigious and innovative companies in the luxury industry.

To leverage Lisbon’s tech spirit and infuse it into its brand-new Tech Competence Centre, our Client is looking to reinforce its technical capabilities on state-of-the-art technology and respond to the growth of their business. Their Lisbon teams will be an extension of its central Group Platforms teams and will be fully integrated in the core technology workforce. They look forward to welcoming their TCC employees and onboarding them on an exciting adventure managing modern solutions and innovative technologies through global, scaled platforms to create business value with pace and agility.  

Responsibilities 

Work closely with Google Looker platform owner to monitor and keep the Google Looker Platform up-to-date.
Monitor and query system activity data using API.
Provide daily operational support to business users on LookML, dbt according to the best practices and enable them to continually improve their projects autonomously.
Optimize performance of LookML and dashboards
Setup new projects in Looker and help leveraging Hub&Spoke architecture.
Promote Looker good practices and security culture.
Liaise with software providers on support and innovation topics.
Provide a clear documentation related to the areas under responsibility.
Use Jira to manage backlog and priorities

Academic Background 

University degree in Business Informatics/Information Systems/Management Information Systems. 

Skills & Experience 

Mandatory professional experience with Google Looker as LookML developer (at least 1-year working experience).
Experience with Python, gitlab, dbt and complex queries developments in BigQuery.
Experience with Looker API is a big plus.
Experience with performance tuning (knowledge of monitoring tools & technical solutions to get the best performance).
Experience in business consulting and international exposure.
Experience with user support is a plus.

Fluent English is required.

Interview Process
