Network Operations Engineer (M/F)

YOUR ROLE
- Perform routine network operations tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the network. Handle technical IP-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Manage and maintain the integrity and performance of Internet Gateway (IGW) networks.
- Troubleshoot network equipment and IP-related problems, and escalate issues to vendors through Technical Assistance Center (TAC) cases. Handle Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) requests as needed.
- Perform hardware acceptance testing, configuration, and ensure proper deployment of network hardware.
- Plan and execute software upgrades for all IP network nodes to keep systems up-to-date and secure.
- Conduct regular IP configuration audits and optimization of IP networks to improve service quality and enhance network performance.
- Apply strong technical expertise in the operation, management, and troubleshooting of IP routers and switches.
- Possess hands-on experience in configuring and managing various router and switching products, ensuring they perform optimally in a production environment.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of key IP network protocols, including TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, Traffic Engineering, L2VPN, L3VPN, Routing Policies, and QoS (Quality of Service).
YOUR PROFILE
- Proven experience in IP network operations, particularly in the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of routers and switches.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, L2VPN, L3VPN, and QoS.
- Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting, RMA processes, and technical support case management (TAC).
- Experience with software upgrades and hardware acceptance testing in a network environment.
- Ability to perform network optimization and ensure high service quality.
- Proficiency in Python for network automation and scripting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are a plus.
