Test Automation Engineer - Lisbon 

Capgemini Portugal is currently looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join one of the world’s most prestigious and innovative companies in the luxury industry.

To leverage Lisbon’s tech spirit and infuse it into its brand-new Tech Competence Centre, our Client is looking to reinforce its technical capabilities on state-of-the-art technology and respond to the growth of their business. Their Lisbon teams will be an extension of its central Group Platforms teams and will be fully integrated in the core technology workforce. They look forward to welcoming their TCC employees and onboarding them on an exciting adventure managing modern solutions and innovative technologies through global, scaled platforms to create business value with pace and agility.  

Responsibilities 

Fix issues on Test Automation Framework and keep documentation up to date

Development enhancements on Test Automation Framework and keep documentation up to date

Help in setup of Test Automation Framework for QA requesting setup help on their project

Help in setup and update of Test Automated pipelines related to test and test automation

Contribute to DevOps shared library with test automation functions enriching functionalities and easing both the creation of new jobs and the maintenance of existing pipelines.

Review QA PR when they propose their help to implement some of the test automation dashboard tasks

Be curious about how features / systems work in the department and challenge existing frameworks to improve if necessary

Additional related activities as identified and required

Academic Background 

B.Sc. or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field. 

 

Skills & Experience 

Minimum 5 years of development and testing experience

Knowledge of XML, JSON, SQL, APIs and Web Services concepts in general is mandatory

Proven experience in development and scripting, test automation frameworks and test management tools

Ability to manage / prioritize time and tasks intelligently, to remain focused in a fast moving / pressurized environment and on multi-national / multi-cultural projects

Ability to work independently or as part of a team, to communicate with people from both business and technical fields

Customer oriented, analytical, efficient, pragmatic rather than dogmatic, with keen eye for detail and a “can-do” attitude

Prior experience in web application and or API service development is an asset

English is required

Interview Process

The next step will be meeting our Client’s team for a technical interview with team members, selected candidates will move to final interview with the Hiring Manager and HR team. Additional rounds may be engaged on a case-by-case basis.
