Data Migration Analyst

Overview:

Skilled Data Migration Analyst with 5-6 years of experience in data migration, data modelling, and ETL processes.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in Python, AWS services, and possess strong communication skills in English.

As a Data Migration Analyst, candidate would play a crucial role in migrating, modelling, and transforming data efficiently and accurately, while also ensuring thorough due diligence in the initial month

Responsibilities:

• Document technical specifications, data mappings, and migration processes during due diligence and support the DM lead in extracting volumetrics, setting up DM strategy, understanding the data mappings needed between source and target systems

• Execute end-to-end data migration project, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to business operations

• Implement data migration strategies, methodologies, and best practices to optimize efficiency and accuracy

• Utilize Python programming language for data manipulation, scripting, and automation tasks

• Leverage AWS services such as S3, Glue, and Redshift for data storage, transformation, and analysis

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and business objectives

• Design and implement data models to support business processes and reporting needs.

• Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

• Develop ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into target systems.

• Monitor data migration jobs, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed

• Support unit testing, SIT, UAT bug fixes, and help prepare Cutover/Go Live documentation/run books

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

• Minimum 5-6 years of hands-on experience in data migration, data modelling, and data ETL processes

• Proficiency in Python programming language for data manipulation, scripting, and automation

• Strong command of AWS services such as S3, Glue, and Redshift for data management and analysis

• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written

• Solid understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data warehousing concepts

• Experience with data integration tools and technologies is a plus

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Team player with the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders
